Habár nekünk nagyon tetszett Szingapúr, én egy kicsit úgy éreztem, hogy a dolgok ott túl ellenőrzöttek, szabályozottak. Nemrég találtam egy cikket a híres sci-fi írótól, William Gibsontól Szingapúrról, aki nálam jóval tehetségesebben összefoglalta milyen is a város: Disneyland halálbüntetéssel. Legyél boldog vagy megölünk.
A cikk 17 éve íródott, szerintem sokat javult a város azóta, de valamennyi igazságtartalma még mindig van a cikknek.
Although we liked Singapore a lot, I somewhat felt that the things there are a bit over-controlled, over-regulated. Recently I have found an article from the famous sci-fi writer William Gibson who in a much more talented way than I summarized what's the like: Disneyland with death penalty. Be happy or we'll kill you.
The article was written 17 years ago, I think the city improved a lot since, but the article still carries some truth.
