Jackie Chan ma itt volt (vagy még itt is van) a városban új filmjét, a The Shinjuku Incident-t reklámozni. E célból ma megjelent a Pavilion bevásárló központ előtt (erre felé a bevásárló központok a (kultúrális) élet színterei is).
Ez persze csak elméletben volt így. Este 7-re volt a dolog meghírdetve, úgyhogy Mariannal megbeszéltük, hogy a helyszínen találkozunk (a Pavilion pont az iroda mellett van). Ott már 7:30 volt kiírva, de este 8-kor is még csak a szponzor gyagya show-ja kezdődött el, ahol olyan nehézségű kérdésekre adott válaszokért lehetett ajándékokat kapni, mint pl. "Ki játsza a film főszerepét". Ekkor feladtuk a várakozást, elég volt több, mint egy órát állni feleslegesen és inkább elmentünk mozijegyet venni. Miközben a mozi pénztárnál voltunk, az eső — ami már egy ideje ijeszgetett — véget vetett az primitív marketing vetélkedőnek (ami kinnt, a szabadtéren volt) és hogy a tömeg ne legyen nagyon csalódott, gyorsan előkerítették Chan-t, aki kb. 10 percre felment a színpadra, integett egy csomót meg pózólt pár fényképhez aztán gyorsan lelépett.
Nekem nagyon szimpatikus a fickó, kár, hogy csak ennyit lehetett belőle látni. Arnold Schwarzeneggert legalább testközelből láttam vagy 10 éve Münchenben.
Még gyorsan beugrottunk a Starbucksba egy forró csokira (mivel visszamentünk a szitáló esőben Chan-t látni és kicsit utána fáztunk, bármennyire is viccesen hangzik ez a trópusokon), ahol Mariann rájött, hogy nem is szereti a forró csokit. Aztán be a moziba: Race to Witch Mountain, ami egy sci-fi gyerekeknek, ennek megfelelően The Rock nem beszélt csúnyán, pedig az nem ártott volna a cselekménynek. Igaz, itt úgyis kivágták volna a trágárságokat. Mivel senki sem halt vagy sérült meg ebben a filmben, még a legnagyobb golyózáporban vagy robbanás során sem, valószínüleg elviszem Albertet majd a erre a filmre, hagy lásson némi kommandós akciót, hamár Counter Strike-ot még nem játszhat velem.
Ezzel aztán végképp elkanyarodtunk az eredeti témától, így aztán inkább elmegyek lefeküdni. Itt a vége az utolsó márciusi post-nak; több írást terveztem erre a hónapra, téma lenne bőven, csak idő nincs. Majd áprilisban.
Jackie Chan was (or still is) here today in the city to promote his latest movie, The Shinjuku Incident. For this purpose, he appeared in front of the Pavilion shopping centre (around here the shopping centres are the venues of the (cultural) life too).
Of course, this was only the theory. The event was advertised with 7pm start, so Mariann and I agreed to meet at the location (the Pavilion is right next to the office). There the starting time was already displayed as 7:30pm, but even at 8pm only the brainless sponsor show started where one could win gifts for answering such difficult questions as "Who plays the leading role in the movie?". At this time we gave up waiting, it was enough to pointlessly stand there for an hour, and went to buy cinema tickets. While we were at the box office, the rain — that was threatening for a while already — ended the primitive marketing contest (that was held outside) and Chan was found quickly so that the crowd was not disappointed. He went onto the stage for 10 mins or so, was waiving a lot, stroke poses for photos and quickly disappeared.
I find the guy very sympathetic, it's a pity that we could see so little of him. At least I have seen Arnold Schwarzenegger in arm's distance around 10 years ago in Munich.
We shortly hopped into Starbucks for a hot chocolate (because we went back in the drizzle to see Chan and were cold afterwards, regardless how funnily it might sound in the Tropics); where Mariann recalled that she does not actually like hot chocolate. Then into the cinema: Race to Witch Mountain which is a sci-fi for kids, therefore The Rock was not using bad language although it would not have hurt the actions. Anyhow, here it would have been cut out of the move. Since nobody died or got seriously hurt in this movie, not even in the biggest rain of bullets or explosions, I will probably take Albert to watch it so that he can see some SWAT action if he cannot yet play Counter Strike with me.
With this we completely detoured from the original subject, so I rather go to sleep now. This is the end of the last March post; I planned more writings for this month, there would be plenty topics to write about, but there was no time. Hopefully in April there will be.
